The Story

Inside the pages of Plastic Makes Perfect

It's 1943 and John is in Dunkirk trying to survive the war. Unbeknownst to him, the love of his life, Mary, is home battling demons of her own.

John comes home to help assemble a perfect life with Mary on the island where they grew up. He does maintenance at the plastic factory while she stays home to raise their mute son, JJ. Mary's past haunts the couple as she struggles to maintain her emotions. She can't stop wanting everything to be perfect.

On a particularly bad day, Mary snaps and things happen that she can't take back. The ripple effect of her actions causes the factory to shut down. Soon after, the island empties. As Mary watches the neighbors leave, John must find a way to keep Mary from the darkness within herself.
